Infinite Possibilities, by Mike Dooley, is an excellent book at manifesting our dreams. In it he talks about the Truths of Being. These are five truths that support living a conscious and magnificent life. I list them here with some of my own comments:
- We are all One. We are of One, of God (Love), divine, interconnected. Nothing can exist outside of God. All that is seen and all that is unseen is God. It is our belief in separation (good/bad, light/dark, right/wrong) that says there is something opposite of God. But there isn’t; there can’t be. There is no place where God is not.
- Thoughts become things. We are creators. Our thoughts, being pure God (since nothing exists outside of God), have an energy and a life force all their own. Our thoughts are alive, aware and active. In this time/space realm that we live in, our thoughts immediately (intelligently) seek to be physically manifested. God becomes consciousness, becomes awareness, becomes thought, becomes matter. Since thoughts become things, choose the good ones!
- Life is eternal. Life being consciousness, God, energy, self. We are creators of this physical realm so we must have existed before it and we will exist after it. Time is an illusion. We use it for order and understanding. But the truth of who we are is eternal.
- There is only Love. Some form of love – divine love – is the motivation and reason behind all reality. Without love why bother creating worlds and developing consciousness? Just as there is no place without God, there is no place without Love – even and especially in the midst of great pain.
- It’s All Good! Everything is exactly as it “should” be. There are no mistakes, just lessons and learning and growth – consiousness expanding.
So we ask the question, why do some things work out for us and others don’t? Why don’t I win the lotto if that is my heart’s desire? Why don’t I manifest the love of my life? And the answer? Our belief systems get in the way. Although in our conscious mind we have some strong desire, there are beliefs in the subconscious mind that get in the way of creating what it is we desire.
Our work then is to bring out into the light (out from the subconscious into the conscious mind) those beliefs and thoughts that may no longer serve us. These may be the ones we took on from our family systems at young ages, or from society, or from dysfunction or trauma. How do we do this? Here are some of my suggestions:
- Becoming aware is the first step. In fact, awareness already starts the healing and release.
- Change our mind. Become master of our own mind and thoughts. And then change them to work for us, not against us.
- Affirmations. “I am prosperous.” “I joyfully and easily accept love into my life.” Affirmations always need to be in the positive form. When we affirm something we don’t want, we create more of what we don’t want!
- Feel the feelings. If we desire financial abundance, feel what that feels like as though it has already happened. Apply gratitude to every area of our lives.
- Take action. Act as though it has already happened. “As-If.” Live our life as though our desire has already manifested.
- Pay attention to our words. Our words are powerful. They create our reality. Choose the good ones. And then honor those words as we would honor God’s word (we ARE God!).
- Ask for support. Not only from our loved ones, but most especially from our guides, the Angels, those that have gone before us. We have free will. We can heal or we cannot heal. It is our choice. The Universe will respond to our choice and our desire for support. But we have to ask. We are not alone.
YOU, my friend, are a MAGNIFICENT being. You are an incredible expression of God manifested into the physical world. Let us have fun and joy in creating the kinds of lives that we desire. In fact, the kind of life that is bigger than we can even imagine. INFINITE POSSIBILITIES!

The greatest environmental disaster of all time… the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. I have been in deep grief about this. First, I didn’t even want to hear about it (denial). Felt too big, I felt too helpless. I had felt the deep pain of it all coming up several times but I would always push it back down. Until one day in a meditation I felt it rising to the surface again (the oil, the gunk) and my first thought was, “No, not now, I just put on my makeup.” And then moving through that thought I gave permission for the deep grief to rise. And I sobbed from deep within my soul (sadness) for the loss of the sea life and the birds and the waters. And then blaming those “out there” and then myself (guilt). I am dependent on oil. I drive my car all over this city. And then the thought, “Okay Universe, I’ll buy a hybrid if you just promise to get this leak stopped!” (bargaining). And then finally, maybe we all chose to come here during this time and space for the purpose of supporting humanity through the destruction of the planet (acceptance) and maybe we can support this process, that has been centuries in the making, from a place of loving kindness.
Through all these phases of grief, I came to a place of healing. And I knew, without a doubt, that I was committed to the awakening of the planet. And that I would do everything I could to support healing. These are the steps that came to me:
1. Send healing light and love to those who are in charge of fixing the leak so that wisdom will move through them and solutions will be presented. All knowledge resides within and is available when we ask and listen.
2. Ask for wisdom, sit in the silence and listen in my own being for the steps I can take for healing. Healing of my own shadows (the parts of ourselves that we hide away and instead of owning we project out onto others), going down south to help clean up, driving my car less and walking and biking instead. Loving and caring for Mother Earth no matter what that looks like.
3. Using the Net of Light meditation (www.grandmothersspeak.com), send healing energy to the Gulf and to all the wildlife. An excerpt:
“Think of, cast and magnify the presence of the Net of Light in the Gulf of Mexico. See, imagine or think of it holding the waters, holding the land, the plants, the sea life, and the people. Holding them all!” the Grandmothers said. “The Net of Light is holding them steady; it is returning them to balance. Let the love within your lighted heart keep pouring into the Net of Light and hold, hold, hold. Calmly and reverently watch as the light from your heart flows along the strands of the Net. It will follow your command and continuously move forth. As soon as you think of it, it will happen. We ask you to practice this for only a few minutes at a time, but to repeat it throughout the day and night.”
All of us are being called to awaken, to take responsibility for who we are in the world and to be proactive in the healing of the planet. We are being asked to heal our own shadows and pain and judgments. And when we heal ourselves, we indeed heal the world.
Namaste dear friends ~ Anne

Our Annual Caroling in Pioneer Square in Seattle is scheduled for Sunday, December 20th, 9-10am. Please join us under the Pergola with your beautiful voices. Gifts of food and clothing (socks, gloves, hats, coats, sweatshirts – new or used) are much appreciated.
One thing to keep in mind… there are MANY people in need this year… much more than ever before. So whatever we bring on Sunday the 20th will not be enough. Just know that anytime we give from our heart that others are touched and that giving spirit ripples out into the world. The gifts from our heart truly do bless the lives of others as well as our own lives.
Thank you to Karlyn Guy who heads up this project.
May we spend time in stillness and gratitude for all the blessings in our lives.
With love and gratitude ~ Anne

I’ve been volunteering at Children’s Hospital on Tuesday afternoons. I was drawn to this volunteer opportunity so that I could continue my work with children and also because I spent two weeks at Children’s for major surgery when I was 10 years old. It was two of the most memorable and happy weeks of my life. I have never felt so loved and I wanted to return that love. My worry was that I might want to rescue the sick children… that it would be difficult to spend just a few hours with them and then leave.
What I have discovered is quite the opposite. I have learned that the greatest gift I can give to the children and their families is to love them… right where they are. Love them in the midst of their illness and their recovery and their stress and their uncertainty. I have learned that my work is not to save or rescue or fix anything but rather to just love and accept where they are in their lives. It is a privledge and a great honor to step into someone’s life, this life that they have created. It is a perfect life – even in the midst of illness. Giving several hours of my week to embrace a child or a parent right where they are has turned out to be a tremendous gift, not only to them, but also to me.
And so I learn to embrace my own life… exactly where I am. My life is perfect, even and especially with all its imperfections. This is the life I have chosen. These are the lessons I am learning. These are the challenges and the joys that I came to experience. There is no other place for me to be. HERE AND NOW.
What is Life for You?
Where are you looking for your life? What makes you feel most alive? What is life to you? Ponder these questions and enjoy them.
Now today, moment by moment, realize that each person and event that happens is life for you. Life is not somewhere else. See how fully you can accept the life that presents itself to you now.

Welcome to the Peaceful Heart Ministries website and my first blog. I have been practicing my ministry for over five years and yet never had a website and was afraid of getting bigger. Then one day an angel showed up at my 1st Sunday Peaceful Heart Service. And this angel got involved in the community and stepped into our hearts pretty quickly. After a few months of participating she suggested putting together a website for PHM.
My first thought was, “Oh no, don’t need it, don’t want to get bigger, too much to step out into the world in that way.” But alas, I have learned a lot about myself over the years and one thing I know for sure is that when it is time to step into a bigger expression of ourselves, the Universe gently nudges us. So thanks to Allison Hays and her creativity and shared vision, we now have a Peaceful Heart Ministries website. I am very grateful to her, one of the many angels that have showed up in my life at just the right time.
So please enjoy the site, share it with your friends, give feedback and if you have a website you would like linked to this site, let me know.
Thank you for who you are in the world, who you are in this community and for who you are in my life.
Namaste
~ Anne
